WING – Women Rise Together

WING – Startup India’s flagship Capacity Development Program for Women Entrepreneurs was conducted between February 2019 and August 2020 for existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs across the country. 24 workshops were conducted across 10 States, directly impacting 1,390+ women. As part of WING, women were provided with mentorship from industry experts, pitching opportunities, incubation offers, and business training workshops covering product, marketing strategies, and technical aspects.

WING workshop Kohima, Nagaland:

Startup India and Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries & Commerce Nagaland have rolled out a unique Capacity Development Program for women-led startups. This program identified and supported aspiring and established women entrepreneurs in their Startup journeys.. Read More

The workshops included sessions, mentoring, practical learning, networking, and pitching. WING workshop Panchkula, Haryana:

An initiative by Startup India and led by DPIIT, WING is a unique capacity development program that aims to support 7500 women entrepreneurs in the country per year. Foundation For Innovation And Technology transfer(FITT) from IIT Delhi drove the success of the program to identify and provide aspiring women entrepreneurs access to incubation, investors, and business support. Additionally, FITT led the task of scouting outstanding women-led startups for the National Start-up Award 2020. Read More

As per a recent study, the last 10 years saw female-led companies perform 63 percent better than male-led companies in terms of return on investment, with women showing an unparalleled willingness and capacity to organise, develop, and manage a business venture. However, even today, women constitute only 13.76% of the total entrepreneurs in India. Read More
